Sacramental Preparation

The Sacraments are powerful experiences of meeting with Jesus. Through them we grow in our faith and are strengthened in our ability to make present the kingdom of God in our daily lives.

Seven Sacraments:

  • ·     Baptism

o   Infants (Through age 6)

Baptism for this age group are held nearly every month of the year on the Third Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Parents call Audrey in the Parish Office to sign up, 842-0001, ext. 110. Parents attend one session on the Monday night prior to the Baptism to learn about the Sacrament and prepare for the actual celebration. The session runs from 7-8:30 p.m. and both parents are encouraged to attend.

o   Children (Ages 7-17)

Baptism for children in this age group is offered through a family preparation program. These families will meet once a month October through March and the children will be Baptized, Confirmed and complete their initiation at the Easter Vigil by receiving the Eucharist. o   Adult (18 and older)

Whenever you feel God calling you to be baptized, please contact Jeff Andrini and start coming to the RCIA. We meet on Monday evening from 7-8:30 during the school year and once a month during the summer. When you are ready, you will be baptized at the Easter Vigil and also receive Confirmation and Eucharist.

  • ·     Confirmation

o   8th Grade

Our diocese confirms teens in eighth grade. The program runs monthly from September through April and is once a month. We also ask that teen are enrolled and attend the weekly EDGE night on Wednesday from 7-8:15 during the school year. Contact Teesie Jandernoa for further information at 842-8230, ext. 124

o   Adult

     Baptized Catholic and received Eucharist, but never Confirmed? Contact Jeff Andrini and attend several session on Confirmation and you will be Confirmed at the Cathedral by the Bishop.

     Becoming Catholic? You will participate in the RCIA process and be received into the Church when you are ready.

  • ·     Eucharist

o   2nd Grade

Our second graders prepare all year for the Sacrament of Eucharist and Reconciliation through our CREW program. When you register for second grade, they are automatically included and additional information will be sent to you.

o   Adult

Becoming Catholic? You will participate in the RCIA process and be received into the Church when you are ready.

  • ·     Reconciliation

     Preparation for this Sacrament is offered through our normal preparation for Eucharist.

     It is offered every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Church or by appointment with Father Chuck.

  • ·     Anointing of the Sick

     Our parish makes a regular effort to offer this Sacrament once a month after Mass.

      In addition, we make the rounds at the area nursing homes several times a year.

      You may also call the parish office and if Father Chuck is available, he can come to your home.

  • ·     Marriage

Marriage preparation is required and offered for six months prior to getting married. Contact Lance Walters for further information at 842-0001, ext. 114.

  • ·     Holy Orders

     The call to the priesthood is a wonderful call from the Lord and if you feel this calling please connect with Father Chuck.
