The Book C.L.U.B.

The Book C.L.U.B. is a once a month commitment beginning each fall and meeting monthly through the spring of each year. It meets in the Hosts home and C.L.U.B. stands for Christians, Learning and Understanding the Bible. It is a group of 10-12 single or married adults that meet for fun, faith and fellowship! Listen to what others have said…

"The only book club that will change your life!" - Fr. Bill Langlois

“It gives you a chance to share no matter what level your faith or knowledge is and it helps people of all levels of faith.” Jon

“Share God’s word as it applies to your life today. Share your experiences and let others help you apply God’s word to your life.” Bud & Mary

“No pressure, open discussion.” Don

“Non-threatening experience” Larry

“The Book Club is a great way to read and understand the Sunday readings. It is interesting to interact with other Catholic Christians away from the church setting.” Bob & Char

“Take the Bible off the shelf and put it in your hands! Don’t be intimidated, it is a joy to read.” Mary

“A casual and relaxed atmosphere, it is such a comfortable way of learning more through Bible readings and listening to the reflections which nurture our knowledge and love for the Lord.” Carol

“Easiest commitment ever! Very little preparation, no homework, best Book Club for people with busy lives.” Butch & Jolene

The idea is that if we can find one night a month to be in a Book Club, why not make it the best-selling, most life changing book in the history of the world?!? Each group gathers once a month to reflect on the Sunday readings for the third weekend of the month. They read them, discuss them, watch a DVD or listen to an audio reflection and then close with prayer and enjoy some social time all in someone’s living room! Would you be willing to open your home and host a group? The idea of hosting is much more in the realm of providing hospitality, rather than being the Bible expert. So how about it? Can you reach out to others by providing a place to share faith in a fun, warm atmosphere? If hosting is not an option at this time, how about participating in a new group?
