Mary Lothschutz was born in Lansing, Michigan and raised (third grade on) in Owosso, MI, where she attended St. Paul Catholic School through high school. She attended 2 years at Aquinas College and then married Bud in 1962.  After a year in the Army, they moved to Grand Haven in 1963 and have been members of St. Patrick’s ever since. Mary has been a member of St. Patrick Altar Society, the Liturgy Commission, the Parish Council, a teacher of elementary CCD, a Girl Scout leader in the Parish. She and Bud were leaders of the Charismatic Prayer Group for 35 years.  She is currently active in the Parish Social Justice Ministry, Jail Ministry, the Adoration Chapel, and writes the Parish Social Ministry column in the bulletin every week.  She crochets for the Craft and Shawl Ministry. She participates in the Wednesday morning Bible Study and she and Bud host a Book Club group at their home. Mary has traveled to Haiti twice, but mostly supports that ministry behind the scenes. Bud and Mary have 8 children, 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mary enjoys reading, camping, crocheting, and family gatherings.
