CCHD GRANT HIGHLIGHT: JOB SEEKERS PROGRAM

The Job Seekers Program in Grand Haven, Mich., is a local grantee of the USCCB's national anti-poverty program, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Coordinated by Mark Bancuk for the past five years, the Job Seekers Program offers a plethora of services for its community members. Located in the lower levels of St. Patrick/St. Anthony Parish, the program offers weekly employment information and preparation seminars, resume and cover letter guidance, monthly breakfasts in the Family Center where one can network and share upcoming events, ESL and GED classes, and a mentor program that helps one navigate
through the job search process.
The Job Seekers Program also partners with Catholic Charities West Michigan, the Grand Haven Community Foundation, Michigan Works! and other businesses within the tri-city area. Volunteer opportunities are always available.
The Job Seekers Office is housed in the lower level of the St. Patrick Administration Building at 920 Fulton Ave., Grand Haven. This is a center for the employment information and preparation. Computers are available to conduct job searches, format resumes and covers letters, and email inquiries. Trained staff are also on hand to help you with any questions or concerns.
St. Patrick and St. Anthony Parish has partnered with many in the west Michigan Community to make programs available to assist residents in their job search.
There is no cost to you for any services of the Job Seekers Program.
The Job Seekers Office is open Tues, Wed. & Thurs 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
