Who We Serve

Migrant Ministry seeks to be a welcoming presence to our seasonal brothers and sisters who faithfully and diligently work at local migrant farms. Last summer, we ministered to 481 people across 15 camps.

What We Do

Migrant Ministry strives to build and maintain relationships with migrant workers, while also meeting their physical and spiritual needs.

When We Serve

  • June – August
  • Sundays St. Anthony Chapel 4:30-6:30 pm
  • Mondays & Wednesdays Migrant Camps 6:00-9:30 pm

Why We Serve

“Whatever you did to the least of my brothers and sisters, you did to me.”  Matthew 25:40

“The life of migrant farmworker families continues to grow more difficult in these times of political and social unrest here in the United States. The normal tensions of the constant moving from state to state following the harvest, interruption of children’s schooling… and difficulty in linking up with local Churches due to language, cultural, economic and social differences serves to separate our migrant families. But these are the very ones that the Gospel of Matthew encourages us to embrace.”

Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network

“The mission of the Church, herself a pilgrim in the world and the Mother of all, is thus to love Jesus Christ, to adore and love him, particularly in the poorest and most abandoned; among these are certainly migrants and refugees, who are trying to escape difficult living conditions and dangers of every kind.”

Pope Francis, 2015 World Day of Migrants and Refugees

How We Serve

Our efforts are made possible through parishioners volunteering their time and financial support.

Our Migrant Ministry cares for the physical needs of migrant families by welcoming them with boxes of food and hygiene items. We care for their spiritual needs by offering rosaries, holy water, prayer cards, and celebrating weekly Mass in Spanish.  We care for their whole being by building relationships, lending a listening ear, and striving to help in whatever ways possible.
