Sunday of the Word of God Resources on Book Rack

Recently, our Pastor, Fr. Dan recommended a number of excellent resources to help us study and better understand the Holy Scriptures. Many of the books and Bibles are now available on the Parish Book Rack, located in the Gathering Space.

Here is list of books currently available from Fr Dan’s list:

  • “A Father Who Keeps His Promises” by Scott Hahn $7 (gently used)
  • “I Thirst” with Mother Teresa by Fr Joseph Langford $12 (new)
  • “Walking With God” 2024 by Tim Gray & Jeff Cavins $16 (new)

Here is a list of the Bibles Fr Dan mentioned. We would like to special order these for those who are interested. By special ordering the Bibles in bulk, the parish can take advantage of lower pricing. Samples of two of the Bibles currently available are on the Book Rack. Look them over and if interested fill out card with your name and contact information along with the desired Bible. We will order them and you can pay when they arrive.

  • SAMPLE: “Great Adventure Study Bible” (soft cover) $28 (new). This is the Study Bible used in Fr Mike Schmitz’s popular “Bible in a Year” podcasts. Hard cover and large print editions are also available for a little more money (approximately $45 -$55)
  • SAMPLE: “St Augustine Bible in Year” (soft cover) $28 (new)
  • Ignatius Study Bible (Currently sold out but will be available in May 2025)

BOOK RACK POLICY: Every effort is made to price all items on the book rack as reasonably as possible. The honor system is used. Suggested donations are listed on each item. All money that comes in goes right back into the Book Rack. If one cannot afford a book and would like to take one, feel free and perhaps pay in back at a later time.
