Supporting the Parish of Sts. Simon and Jude in Haiti. Our parish supports over 600 children in the Elementary School as well as serving the basic needs of the parish. Our parish raises donations annually to support the parish, rectory, teachers, & students of our ministries in Haiti. Funds are raised through parishioner support donations, our individual scholarship support program, and various fundraising activities throughout the year, including an ongoing can drive. We are grateful to coordinate our efforts with renewed partnerships with the following organizations:
Gesu Parish: Started helping Sts. Simon and Jude in 2002 by funding school lunches. Today, they also fund two clinic workers, cooks and assistance with repairs and they built the security wall that surrounds the church and school.
Building Hope in Haiti: Started a sponsorship program in 2014. They currently support 80 students ranging from Kindergarten to University. They also distribute beans and rice and assist with medical services.
HART( Haiti Africa Relief Team) funds a doctor who visits the parish once a month and they assist with cost if a hospital visit is needed.
