This year’s theme “Strengthened in Christ, Responding with Joy,” is a call to the heart of CSA. We are strengthened in Christ through the celebration of the sacraments and in formation opportunities. This nourishment fills us with Christ’s joy and peace, which we in turn share through the ministries supported by the CSA.

The annual CSA goal for each parish is calculated based on a percentage of their annual offertory and ensuring that each parish provides direct support to Catholic schools in the diocese.

Your gift to the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) changes lives for the better, impacting 179,371 Catholics and thousands more in our community and beyond. Your pledge ensures that the 20-plus ministries serving our 11-county diocese can continue. Just as your parish relies on weekly giving, our diocese relies on your CSA gift to provide ministries that no single parish can sustain on its own. Thank you for your generosity!

Catholic Charities West Michigan (CCWM): Your gift helps to support 332 children receiving loving support through CCWM’s foster care and adoption programs; 72,000+ meals served through CCWM’s food programs.

Seminarian Education & Continuing Formation: Your gift helps to support 21 Seminarians, and 93 Diocesan Priests.

Evangelization: Your gift helps to support 6,795 children in parish faith formation (K-12), 484 individuals became Catholic through the OCIA last year, 70 scholarships for college students and parish leaders to attend SEEK.

Hispanic Ministry: Your gift helps to support Hispanic ministry, Black Catholic ministry, and Native American ministry in our diocese.

Communication: Your gift helps to support Sunday Mass broadcast live on TV and online; 370,000 copies of FAITH Grand Rapids magazine mailed per year.
