Repaving the Way

We have evaluated our parking lots’ physical condition over the past several months. The west lot, contiguous to 31, has needed serious attention for several years.

We have obtained a soil-boring analysis and bids from several contractors. This due diligence has revealed the need to shore up the gravel base under the blacktop and add drainage basins to manage surface water run-off. The total surface area of the west parking lot is 37,000 sq. ft.

Additionally, we will repair the access drive and parking lot near the Youth Center. Finally, as part of this parking lot project, we are planning on filling cracks, sealing, and striping all of our parking lots. The total surface area of this additional work is 27,500 sq. ft.

The total cost of these parking lot improvements will be $200,000 with 80% of this total cost associated with the improvements of the West Lot. We are initiating a Parking Lot Fundraising Campaign to cover the total cost of these parking lot improvements. Please feel free to reach out to Tom Godfrey, Dir. of Finance & Operations, with any questions (tgodfrey@stpatsgh.org). More details are forthcoming.
