We are grateful to our parishioners who are involved in many ministries throughout our parish. Every month we highlight a ministry to inspire parishioners to know, love, serve Jesus Christ through our parish work, staff, and volunteers.

Who We Serve

Faith Formation serves elementary, middle and high school youth, adults and young adults in our parish and surrounding areas.

What We Do

The goal of Faith Formation is to form disciples of Jesus Christ, draw individuals into the life, mission, and work of the Church, and provide opportunities for ongoing spiritual growth and conversion to Jesus.

When & Where

Faith Formation opportunities are offered all year round, with a variety of days and times, depending on the age group. These opportunities take place in the parish building, youth center, and off parish grounds.

Why We Serve

“All the baptized, because they are called by God to maturity of faith, need, and therefore have a right, to adequate catechesis. It is thus a primary responsibility of the Church to respond to this in a fitting and satisfactory manner.”

General Directory of Catechesis, paragraph 167

It is through parish Faith Formation opportunities that we strive to carry out this responsibility, while also upholding our Pastoral Vision:  “To INSPIRE every heart to KNOW, LOVE, and SERVE Jesus Christ!”

Who We Serve

Migrant Ministry seeks to be a welcoming presence to our seasonal brothers and sisters who faithfully and diligently work at local migrant farms. Last summer, we ministered to 481 people across 15 camps.

What We Do

Migrant Ministry strives to build and maintain relationships with migrant workers, while also meeting their physical and spiritual needs.

When We Serve

  • June – August
  • Sundays St. Anthony Chapel 4:30-6:30 pm
  • Mondays & Wednesdays Migrant Camps 6:00-9:30 pm

Why We Serve

“Whatever you did to the least of my brothers and sisters, you did to me.”  Matthew 25:40

“The life of migrant farmworker families continues to grow more difficult in these times of political and social unrest here in the United States. The normal tensions of the constant moving from state to state following the harvest, interruption of children’s schooling… and difficulty in linking up with local Churches due to language, cultural, economic and social differences serves to separate our migrant families. But these are the very ones that the Gospel of Matthew encourages us to embrace.”

Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network

“The mission of the Church, herself a pilgrim in the world and the Mother of all, is thus to love Jesus Christ, to adore and love him, particularly in the poorest and most abandoned; among these are certainly migrants and refugees, who are trying to escape difficult living conditions and dangers of every kind.”

Pope Francis, 2015 World Day of Migrants and Refugees

How We Serve

Our efforts are made possible through parishioners volunteering their time and financial support.

Our Migrant Ministry cares for the physical needs of migrant families by welcoming them with boxes of food and hygiene items. We care for their spiritual needs by offering rosaries, holy water, prayer cards, and celebrating weekly Mass in Spanish.  We care for their whole being by building relationships, lending a listening ear, and striving to help in whatever ways possible.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • · Donate hygiene or nonperishable food items
  • · Load/unload the van
  • · Minister at migrant camps
  • · Assist with Mass: Sundays at St. Anthony Chapel, Wednesdays at migrant camps
  • · Become a Financial supporter

Who We Serve

All liturgical ministers exist for the service of the Body of Christ, the People of God, the assembly gathered in God’s name.   (USCCB)

Worship and Liturgy provide the people of St. Patrick – St. Anthony parish, and its visitors, opportunities to reverently participate in worship through the celebration of Holy Mass and other liturgical celebrations.

What We Do

Worship and Liturgy provides reverent and prayerful worship experiences in a beautiful and sacred

environment.  Some roles are more visible, like Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector, or Altar Server. Other roles are served in the background, like the Art and Environment committee, Sacred Linen Launders, etc.

When & Where

There is work to be done throughout the year, as the celebration of the Holy Liturgy happens all year. Many roles serve on weekends during the celebration of Holy Mass, while other roles serve throughout the week to prepare for and enhance liturgical celebrations in a beautiful and prayerful environment. Worship and Liturgy mostly serve in the church, as they are usually tied to a liturgical celebration.

Why We Serve

Although serving in any of these ministries should be a source of joy and satisfaction for individual people, these ministries exist for the benefit and service of the Church and not for individual or personal piety, spiritual growth or status. (USCCB)

Through the active service of the Body of Christ, we strive to live Christ’s call to service. In our example as servants, we hope to inspire the hearts and minds of the gathered congregation to more fully know Jesus Christ, then love Jesus Christ, and eventually serve Jesus Christ, as well.

How We Serve

Our efforts are made possible through parishioners volunteering their time and financial support.

Who We Serve

Facility and Grounds Care serves parishioners and visitors of St. Patrick – St. Anthony Parish who make use of parish grounds and facilities.

What We Do

Facility and Grounds Care maintains the physical space and environment  needed to live out our call to worship, service, formation, pastoral care, and fellowship. Inside our buildings we maintain cleanliness, safety, ensure proper functioning, and provide an appropriate environment for the many ways we serve our parish and our community. Outside we maintain beautiful gardens, clear snow from parking lots and walkways, and do our best to make our campus look attractive and welcoming.  We strive to make our facility and grounds inviting to all who attend, both parishioners and visitors.

When & Where

Caring for our parish grounds and facilities takes place all year. Every season brings new opportunities for serving in this ministry.  Volunteers who help with Facility and Grounds Care can often set their own schedule. Some tasks may need to be done on specific days and times, but many of the tasks can be done whenever the volunteer has time to give. The work of our Facility and Grounds Care volunteers can be seen all over our campus, both at St. Patrick church and St. Anthony chapel. A large portion of the volunteer help needed is outside, tending to the grounds. Occasional indoor help is needed also.

Why We Serve

“The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it.” Genesis 2:15

Facility and Grounds Care is important in the work of the Church because of the direct impact our physical environment has on the human experience. In providing beautiful, clean, and safe spaces for parishioners and our community, we strive “To inspire every heart to Know, Love, and Serve Jesus Christ.”

How We Serve

Our efforts are made possible through parishioners volunteering their time and financial support.
