Sensory-Friendly Mass, Sunday, October 6 at 1 p.m. (St. Francis de Sales)

St. Francis de Sales Parish, Norton Shores, will host a bilingual Sensory-Friendly Mass on the first Sunday of each month beginning Sunday, October 6 at 1 p.m. A special invitation is extended to any person with sensory issues and their families. The Mass will include acoustic music, dimmer lighting, no bells, or incense. Families are encouraged to bring materials that can assist with comfort during the liturgy such as noise cancelling headphones, wiggle seats, fidgets, etc. All are welcome at this Mass. Contact the parish office with any questions at parish@stfrancisns.org or 231-755-1953.

All the things like lively music, large crowds, bells, and incense that make Mass so extraordinary for many Catholics often keep persons with sensory issues and their families home watching Mass on TV. As missionary disciples, we are called to seek out and embrace these families and invite them home.

All are welcome.
