Great News from the Music Department!

We have new books in our pews, and they are out a little earlier than they are supposed to be. (Don’t tell anyone). This year I decided to try something a little different with a paperback music book called the “Heritage Missal” to complement our “Spirit and Song” book. In this book you will find the full readings for Mass starting on the First Sunday of Advent, Daily Mass Propers, the St. Meinrad Chant tones, and a wide array of hymns and songs.

Furthermore, I would also like to share the Mass Setting that we will start on Christmas. It is in the new Heritage Missal and is called, “Mass of Christ the Savior”. Below are some videos of the various parts of the Mass. Please take time to listen to them sometime between now and Christmas, so that you can raise your voice in song, making a joyful noise to our Newborn King this Christmas and beyond.

We are excited to see how these new books will serve the parish, and help us to fully, actively, and consciously participate in the sung liturgy of the Church. Through this, we will come to more deeply know, love, and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. If you have any questions about this new resource, please do not hesitate to contact me in the Parish Office.
