The Ascension of the Lord
Here in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, and in many Dioceses, the Ascension of the Lord is transferred to Sunday, May 29. This means that instead of celebrating the 7th Sunday of Easter, we will be celebrating the Ascension at all the weekend Masses.
To help us prepare for the celebration of the Ascension, here are some resources that may be of interest.
Gladden us with Holy Joys, Almighty God, and make us rejoice with devout thanksgiving, for the ascension of Christ, Your son is our exaltation, and, where the Head has gone before in glory, the Body is called to follow in hope.
